Last week was the timing for my first kill as a shooter/hunter.  It wasn't that memorable (probably like other first times) however it did leave me yearning more.  The kill was the enemy of most landholders in Australia, the European Rabbit.  It was late evening around 8pm and a few other rabbits had been shot by a mate, in fact all hunting expeditions over the last two years involved me watching him shoot rabbits and me being usually too far to bother them.  Well that night was different, I was lucky to be 30 meters away from a teenage rabbit that did not seem to care as I shot 2 past him before I finally got the site correct.  I did my rural duty in teminating a pest of the bush, however what it has done, is increase my thirst to hunt the pest again.  Having said that to rid the problem of rabbits it does require baiting and fumagation.  

Well season two saw FC Kingsview promote to division five.  A very big effort considering not many teams progress so quickly.  My team has progressed due to great fiscal management and excellent training of youngsters.  The youngsters came on at the right time, they started to hit their strapsin the last round of season one and continued on in the higher the division.

 

Season two has been interesting to say the least, my team has been extremelly consistent due to the back up of highly skilled bench players, this is in comparison to other teams who have guns in the first side but nothing on he bench when injuries occur.  This has seen me beat better teams early on in the season, however recently I have managed a win for six weeks, courtesy of playing better teams and also a loss of luck.  The results were as the should have been, however I was hoping for a bit more.

 

I took the liberty to increase the size of my stadium, which has resulted in additional money coming in when I play a home game, I believe this to be a good idea especially this season when I have lost a lot of games becuase the increased stadium revenue offsets the loss in support revenue (that naturally occurs when you lose games).

 

With 3 games remaining of the season, I play the bottom side (win), a team similar (could be a draw) and a team clearly better than me (loss).  This should just be enough to keep me in 5th or 6th position and not be automatically relegated.  I will still have to play a qualifying match against a Division 6 team, however would be unlucky to have to play a team better than mine...heres hoping!!!
